Yes, it's my birthday!

I'll be 31 at 10:59 PM. I am a Friday's child. The daughter of a sweet Daddy and fun-loving mother. The oldest of seven children. Destined to be married to Brian, my first and only true love. And now mother of three children that make sure that I feel my age. :^) And I am blessed with so many sweet friends like you.

Happy birthday, Alicia! Hope it's filled with all the things you enjoy...and something edible from little hands...and they watch you and describe the preparation until you finish eating it! (That's just what happens at my home every year. LOL :)

came over here from Owlhaven

I can barely remember my age 31--a whole lotta diaper changing going on back then.
I hope you can take a bit of time to have a bit of your own kind of fun.
Oh, if possible, Greetings to your mom since she remembers the experience more than you would.

_If we didn't have Birthdays_

If we didn't have birthdays, you wouldn't be you.
If you'd never been born, well then what would you do?
If you'd never been born, well then what would you be?
You *might* be a fish! Or a toad in a tree!
You might be a doorknob! Or three baked potatoes!
You might be a bag full of hard green tomatoes.
Or worse than all that . . . Why, you might be a WASN'T!
A Wasn't has no fun at all. No, he doesn't.
A Wasn't just isn't. He just isn't present.
But you . . . You ARE YOU! And, now isn't that pleasant!
~~Dr. Seuss

Owlhaven suggested you might like some new readers for your birthday, so here I am!

I am about 6 months older than you, but I look forward to learning much from your wonderful blog.

God Bless you this birthday and for many years to come.

Glad You Like It! You're Welcome!

The poem is from a picture book by Dr. Seuss, except I can't lay my hands on it right now for the full title.
I read it for everybody's birthday when I worked at a daycare center.

In fact, I've been known to recite it unexpectedly from memory at a lady's 100th birthday party!
